I ordered a mature patacon and they gave me slices with meat. It didn't make sense, I asked and they said that they sold the patacon like that! Do not sell presentations of something that does not match the dish.
The food was very good, the empanadas reminded me of the San Cristóbal terminal the only thing I didn't like was the customer service is a little low on the part of the staff
Best empanada in all New Jersey, If you are near by is a most visit placenTry the arequipe empanadas ( Caramel ) and colombian empanadas the best
I love the arepas at this place, they are delicious and they always serve me very friendly, I love it♥️
Disappointed, tasteless food. They serve arepas with very bad shredded chicken. I would not return to this place nor recommend it.
The hallacas were as good as previous years (they should have hard-boiled eggs like in Venezuela). The mini empanadas were excellent.
The restaurant has great service, the waitresses are excellent and very helpful, the misters are very good and everything is very clean,
Best Colombian food. Elizabeth has so many Colombian restaurants, unfortunately none of them represent the real Colombian food.nBut L’ Arepa has the best typical Colombian food so far I know.
I thought the food was average. What wasn't terrible was the woman who served me. I think she got upset because I didn't leave a tip, but it was just an arepa to go. She left me for last, then forgot my juice, and said I'd said no, when I never said that. Aside from poor customer service, she's a liar. I won't be returning to this place.
The service was very bad and slow.
The food is delicious! The service is good.
La Arepa ReviewnnI recently visited La Arepa, attracted by its vegan menu. I ordered a vegan caleado (meat stew) that was quite good, although a bit greasier than I expected for this type of dish. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, especially the bathroom, which is always a plus.nnHowever, my experience was negatively affected by the staff's attitude. During my visit, one of the waitresses greeted a friend, and the two began conversing very loudly about personal topics, mainly men and private matters. It was an awkward situation, as I was working on my laptop, and the conversation was so loud that I was forced to wear headphones to concentrate and avoid hearing these topics, which I consider inappropriate in a work or dining environment.nnFurthermore, the interaction with the waitress was somewhat awkward from the start. Her manner was overly familiar and her attitude was somewhat arrogant, which made me feel uncomfortable. I asked for the Wi-Fi password, and although I understand it's not mandatory, the response was unkind, which further affected my perception of the service.nnI would like to suggest to the owners of La Arepa that they consider providing more specific training to their staff regarding customer service and workplace behavior. Employees who are in direct contact with customers are the face of the business, and maintaining a professional environment can make a huge difference to the overall experience.nnI think La Arepa has good potential thanks to its facilities and its gastronomic offering, but improving customer service and establishing clear boundaries regarding behavior in the service area could greatly enhance its reputation and user experience.
Very good food, everything we ordered was very good, no complaints.
Order vegan empanadas and waited patiently for me food. Took the first bite and noticed the empanadas were filled with ham and cheese. I’m livid.
Love this place. Food is excellent. Nice people. Friendly service.
In my opinion, Tequeño is not sweet, which is why it takes on that color, even more raw. Tequeño in Venezuela is our daily bread, so they sell something well prepared. Thank you
Amaizing experience!!! Delicious and comfortable!!!
The waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was very delicious. It was very pleasant to be there and get to know that beautiful place that reminds us so much of our country. I recommend it.
I went to this place because they recommended the “Venezuelan” empanadas, but it really has the appearance of a Colombian empanada, although I must say that the shredded beef one was good. The pavilion one had the thickest dough, like the Colombian ones. Conclusion they were not bad, but if you are looking for Venezuelan-type empanadas, it is not here. The chicha was watery.
I have not recommended this place at all, the lady who serves does not serve with a bad attitude, she makes us wait an infinite amount of time, when I tell her that her service is bad she gets angrier and tells us that we always go at closing time, if she specifies that they are going to close we will get worse, do not make us wait, terrible service
Food truck in St-Tite for the festival. Delicious!
The best Venezuelan and Colombian empanadas in Elizabeth NJ...
Excellent place, the food is very delicious and the staff is incredible. I go most days to eat, they have good seasoning
(THE WORST SERVICE IN NJ!!) They don't even speak English... I waited for 15 minutes while the person serving tried to understand what they were asking, I had to help her and (then the lady kept me waiting for a long time because she served 2 people first (> EVEN THOUGH I ARRIVED FIRST <) and got upset when I told her.
They are not clean. The person in front does not provide good service... they have an older person serving and they don't speak Spanish. The worst customer service in the United States!! I waited 15 minutes for them to serve me and they served other people first.
So I just walked in to pick an order up and they said they closed it’s 6pm right now . Why did it let me place an order online on your website . Maybe because online it says ya close at 7pm I hope I get a refund or I guess I gotta stop by tomorrow for my refund definitely unorganized inside doesn’t look like the food is good anyway guess I’ll never know
This place is a trifecta of local eats excellence. Great food. Great quality. Reasonable prices. Great staff. Small yet mighty
Perfect lunch spot for when you are serving on jury duty. Just a block away from the courthouse and there is plenty of seating or you can order ahead. Loved the arepas. The shrimp were super fresh and cooked to perfect. It really hit the spot. Highly recommend.
Nice service, delicious Food. recommended
