Beautiful family restaurant with food that looks really gourmet. The price/quality ratio is very good. It is worth highlighting the variety of vegetarian dishes, something difficult to find, they do not just stop at salads, but they have a great prepared variety.

ARAGONCITO is a place you have to add to your list if you visit Semuc Champey. It's not just food, it's a whole gastronomic experience; you can see and feel the love in every dish. This place is absolutely amazing! As a vegetarian it has been surprisingly difficult to find a good meal while traveling until we stopped here. There is no written menu, it is spoken and they show you actual photos of the meals. I ordered the veggie steak and my partner had the eggplant based lasagna both were incredible and the lasagna was the best lasagna that we have ever had. The family running the restaurant are very attentive and friendly and they want to make sure that you enjoy the food and the experience. If you are in Lanquín I highly suggest that you come to this restaurant!
This place was such an insane surprise, even with all the other 5 star reviews. Situated in a beautiful garden, they serve really delicious food and even have vegetarian options full of fresh veggies. (Pro tip - ask for half a portion since the portion sizes are huge!) This was probably the healthiest meal I've had yet in Central America which I was not expecting to find in Lanquin. The Guatemalan owners are also super friendly and if you don't feel like practicing your Spanish, they speak excellent English.
Here, you talk directly to the chef about what the menu of the day is. Local food, fresh and prepared with love! I totally recommend the vegetarian meals and the fresh juice. There is something new every day. The food is very good, I can highly recommend the vegetarian dishes, also the hibiscus juice and the cheesecake. The operators, a family, are very nice and accommodating.

Very cozy and nice place in the countryside. High quality and fresh food. We had freshly squeezed hibiscus juice, vegetable lasagna with side dishes and a burger with fries (around €15 for everything). Highly recommended and only a 10 minute walk from Lanquin.
An excellent atmosphere, but there are several aspects to improve.nnPositive:n- Excellent lighting and ornament detailsn- It is located in a very central locationn- Ample parkingn- Good customer servicen- Enough hygiene in all areas (bathroom, kitchen, bar)nnNegative:n- They do not have a menu for food/drinks (they very kindly tell you what there is to prepare but it is almost impossible for you to keep the meals together with the side dishes they come with)n- They do not have a variety of rest areas. (They only have two hammocks and these are located in a place very far from the tables that are there to eat)n- They do not have drinks or prepared beverages service. (There are no natural fruit smoothies, margaritas, or any other type of prepared drink)n- It could be said that the price is not according to the size of the food plate; There is no quality/price ratio.
Located just outside of Lanquín, near the stalactite cave and gas station, this bistro offers excellent food and very good service. The food is freshly prepared and reasonably priced. The chef speaks English and is very helpful.nnHighly recommended; the best food in Lanquín!
A total perfect experience I got here ! Food was delicious , it's a fresh new daily menu everyday. Ambiance is cozy place is beautiful and the owner and his wife are real gems ♥️ I cannot recommend more ! Best place I've ate in Guatemala so far !

A family of culinary artists, our two dishes were extraordinary ;) a burger with a real steak very very well seasoned, home fries, a tasty vegetarian dish and parsley tortillas, a treat not to mention unbeatable value for money... to put it simply, simply art!

A new place, open for just 1.5 months is what the owner told us. It's a family run business with his wife and kids. Other tourists told us the food here was 'dynamite'! So we had to try.nnHis English is great and he was able to explain in full what was on the menu.nWe had an awesome steak with potatoes. Tender meat!nCola zero was also available, something that seems rare in Guatemala.nnThe owner recommended the chocolate mous (cake). Since he did his /an education in Belgium related to preparing chocolate. The chocolate is local off course! Is was delicious.nnWe were afraid of food poisoning in this town because of many stories, but this chef knows how to handle his food. I'm writing this the day after in the bus to Flores, I which I could dine here again tonight.nnTo the owner and his family. We which you all the best and we're sure you'll be the next big restaurant in Lanquín!nnBest of luck!

This is probably the best restaurant in Lanquín and a must to visit when you are here. They were actually closed and preparing for tomorrow when I arrived. But they were able to get me a takeaway for home. After that they were also able to serve others who also wanted some food. 10/10 for the effort. And it was the best piece of pork I had in a long time. Maybe because the cook studied for a while in Belgium? Who knows. Try it yourself.
