We ate at Arepa Co in Bethnal Green with eight people.nThe food came quickly, was fresh, and super delicious. It's great that they also have a large selection of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. The waitress was also very helpful with our questions about gluten, and the staff asked us several times if we had celiac disease or intolerance, and they always pointed out the possibility of cross-contamination – great!nnThe staff was also very friendly, and the atmosphere had its charm.nUnfortunately, there's a DJ on Saturdays during brunch, which was rather distracting for us because the music was very loud.nnOur favorites are the cocktails and the buñuelos from the all-day menu, and the cachapa del campo as a main course. Both are highly recommended and super delicious! We'll definitely be back!n----------------------------------nnWe ate at Arepa Co in Bethnal Green with eight people.nThe food came quickly, was fresh, and delicious.nIt's great that they also have a large selection of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. The waitress was also very helpful with our questions about gluten, and the staff asked us several times whether we had celiac disease or an intolerance. Went for lunch with work colleagues. Nice clean atmosphere and very airy on a hot day. Food pictures and portions were accurate and well sized. Apart from a minor hiccup with spilling some drinks, which we were very nicely taken off the bill, everything else was good.nnFood was well cooked. Portions were balanced and the sugar cane lemonade is a nice light drink to finish a meal.nnAlso got a free dessert as comp. Very exceptional service. Would recommend this summer
Situated on a quiet side street, so relatively quiet and spacious. Welcoming decor and friendly staff.nThe food was decent, but overpriced as the Arepas lacked meat, being filled instead with plantain and other ingredients. I felt bloated for several hours afterwards, probably because of the carb overload. I expected more meat for the price.nOverall: Great location and venue, let down by overpriced, carb heavy dishes.
Outstanding lunch! We enjoyed the arepas and small plates. The kids menu was also nice, a mini version of adult dishes. My children loved it.
Absolutely delicious food! Took my friend because she’s a coeliac and this place caters to gluten-free. But everything was amazing - those sauces were really special, portion sizes were huge and the staff are super friendly.
Again the food is amazing like the Haggerston branch but the service and atmosphere is much better here. Staff are a lot more friendly. The music/playlist is very good here. We came here for dinner after visiting the toy museum.
The best Arepas and Venezuelan food in London, friendly staff and just the vibe is like I found a little corner of Venezuela here, 100% recommended!
Had the arepa and lemonade lunch deal: the arepa was plentiful and delicious. The lemonade was refreshing and unique as it uses papelón (sugar cane). The tequeños are great with the guava sauce. The cachapa was cheesy and yummy. Service was great too.
Wicked spot with properly tasty food and nice staff. Loved it. The beans were amazing. Get it down ya
This place makes me want to eat Venezuelan food whenever I go travel to a foreign country. I recommend the loaded Yuca.
I emailed in advance to ask in purchasing a tres leches cake. Was quoted £45 and advised to call to reserve. I called a week in advance to order. Today I went to pick up (takes me 1.5 hours to get there from where I live) the cake and paid, to find out I was getting a frozen sponge cake and I need to purchase the milk and everything at home to make it myself. Literally a sponge cake, nothing else and frozen like a block wrapped in plastic wrap. I still can’t understand how I was quoted 45£ for a sponge cake. The waiter then wanted to give me the milk to go in a plastic ziplock, so I can pour it myself at home! I got my refund and left, but was left without the cake I was hoping to take home that day.
Great place! The staff was super nice and knowledgeable about their gluten free options (including flagging any potential cross contamination)nThey also have vegan optionsnWould definitely recommend
Staff super friendly and helpful. GREAT food with lots of vegetarian options. So happy that I spotted this place to try out. I will be back for sure.
Dog friendly venue with friendly staff. Food was tasty
The food was absolutely amazing with great suggestions from the staff. Highly recommend
Credit where it is Due. The food was very tasty. The staff was great. I had a great birthday meal here. I wish to send my appreciation to the team. Oh and the Arepa sour is great. Thank you. I rate this restaurant not just for the food but for the warmth of the people who work there and their kindness. I will return.
staff super friendly. there was no free tables but as we explained we would be quick they made room for us. the chicken pancake type dish i had was a taste sensation. so good
So so tasty, cachapa pabellon hit the craving I had for Latin food. 10/10 recommend
So surprised to find a Venezuelan restaurant in the middle of London with so much amazing food and the service was amazing
Especially the pancake style mains and yuka fries were great, the rice bowls were more average.
Delicious!!nWe went for brunch, very well served, very delicious food!nWe ordered the Criollo and Reina brunch.nThe tequeños with chocolate are crazy!nMy only criticism would be that the tea said “premium herbs” and it was a tea in a bag that didn't taste that good...I was expecting something with natural herbs...
Starters were nice. Arepa was small for the price, pulled chicken one was dry, with all cheese dropped down to the bottom and not enough sauce.nnIt wasn't that busy when we went (6pm on a Saturday) yet we had to seek the attention of the waitress/waiter for every drinks order and food order, and to pay. Drinks took ages, 2 cocktails were forgotten.nnWould give it another go and try something else on the menu. Service charge creeping up, now at 13.5%! Service did not reflect this.
