The cachapas are not made with real corn, and the cheese is not the one that’s usually used to prepare them.
The food was amazing!! I got the beef and Gouda arepa and the people were so nice they let me try all of the sauces. Each was homemade and delicious but I think my favorite was the garlic sauce. Anyway, loved it and felt very welcomed.
It hasn't happened to you that you pay a lot and stay hungry, this is the perfect place, Hahahaha the sad story of eating Venezuelan food
I was hungry, the food was very good but apart from being expensive, they served very little, I had to go to Clancy for some potatoes to be able to complete
The food is horrible, the chorizo looks like ground meat, the cheese is scratched, the cachapa dough looks like a tortilla, the soda tastes like soap, this place is definitely not Venezuelan, I have never eaten something as bad as this.
Do not eat in this place, the cachapa does not have cheese on hand, it is not even similar to what a Venezuelan food is. Don't waste your money because it is also super expensive for how terrible the service is 0/10. I don't recommend it.
I hate to write this review because I am Venezuelan and I want to support this business but the food we ordered was so so salty. The arepas were not fresh neither was the pico de gallo. The beef was just salty. Guys, make better food and show the world the amazing food you grew up eating
Excellent service! The people are too friendly and the food is delicious!
I would have bought tacos... 15 dollars for an arepa/cachapa/empanada and they are not worth it... disappointment more than 50 for 3 things and two drinks.. I did not like the taste or the prices
Very expensive, terrible service, tasteless food, a piece of paper with lemon was $7. They charge you for all the sauces. I came from Michigan to eat here and missed the trip
I didn't like this place at all, I ordered a cachapa that wasn't a cachapa, it was like an arepa. Not recommended at all and the person who helped me didn't look like he worked there.
The Cachapa was great but the Arepa was rather underwhelming in terms of flavour and relatively small for the price. The Garage is cool though so if you're craving Colombian while you're there, it's not bad.
We tried two arepas and one empanada, and it was impossible to choose which one we liked the most. Everything was delicious, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Very comfortable space right in front of the restaurant
Cachapa That tastes like wheat flour, the dry shredded meat with grated cheese, the green sauce tastes terrible, a piece of paper $7 I don't recommend the cachapa, I had to throw it away very bad
Arepas! Plantains! So good!
Absolutely delicious, and the staff was super nice. They even helped me bring my food to the table after seeing me struggling with my cane.
I was excited to try Venezuelan food but it was not what I expected. I ordered a cachapa, which was dry and stiff, I didn't know why and it even tasted like PAN's cachapa mix and paying $14 dollars for that is not worth it, that's why I make it, the cheese was delicious and had a good flavor. Then I ordered the empanada, which, although it is large, I don't think it costs about $13 dollars. I ordered it with meat and it lacked flavor. The sauce was delicious and the papelon was very refreshing and delicious. I'm not doing this to make them look bad but they should improve the quality of their menu.
I visited The Garage for the first time today. The space is beautiful and lively. When I saw the menu for this restaurant, I was super excited as I’ve not had empanadas since Miami. I ordered the shredded chicken empanada and was immediately disappointed. The flavor of the chicken resembled reheated meat. The empanada was dry and flavorless. I don’t recommend ordering it.
Fraud on Venezuela, please, this food has nothing to do with my country. Just hiring a woman who has lived at least 10 years in Venezuela would give you a taste for the tasteless meat they sell here... I don't recommend it.
Cachapas without hand cheese or cream. I didn't like it.
Excellent recommendation! And great service, I'd go back.
The food is very expensive for what they serve, I would not eat at this place again.
The price of the food was very expensive, the cachapa was tasteless and flavorless, it's not worth buying here!
Excessively expensive! It's not worth it. The super dry cachapa and empanadas are a scam
super expensive and the cachapa was dry
Excellent food, I would return a thousand times!!
The order arrived almost 15 minutes after I requested it, I ordered the cachapa with guasacaca and they made avocado little stuffed with the arepa and the cachapa, nothing to do with it. Don't buy there, they must improve the service.
If you are Venezuelan, don't go. It doesn't taste like Venezuelan food. The food was super tasteless. I won't go anymore
Gluten-Free!!! The amazingly fluffy flat pancake breading of most of their meal options is absolutely amazing....The Reina Pepeada (what I got) comes normally with shredded chicken, avacado, cilantro, and mayo. I got mine without cilantro and chose a combo deal that came with Lays potato chips and a soda (I got Sprite). The arepa had like a pound of chicken on it and very likely a whole avacado! So so good....They offered plastic silverware, but I ended up eating with my hands. How you know it was delicious. XD The Reina Pepeada itself is $12 (menu price); the meal deal was $14 (menu price). My whole price was $19 and change ($3 tip included). The Reina Pepeada is one of the cheaper options, but you can easily get out for under $20.
I LOVE arepas. It’s one of my favorite foods and this was the super super disappointing. I wish I would’ve tried a different place
Not only I paid 32$ for 2 empanadas and 1 coke, but also the empanada was absolutely soaked in oil, I was starving and couldn’t finish my first one. Service wasn’t the best either. You could see the owner wasn’t around.
I am Venezuelan, and the truth is nothing to do with it, they don't have a good seasoning, the shredded meat is tasteless, the cachapa is burnt and tasteless so they really have no life.
Im Venezuelan, and our food is delicious! Whatever this people is making is not Venezuelan food, and they are charging SUPER EXPENSIVE PRICES for simple things like an arepa (+10$) or empanada (+13$); get conscious guys!
