I was stunned to find a plate of perfect al dente spaghetti in front of me in San Jorge Nicaragua. It was perfectly seasoned and was as Italian as any plate of pasta I've ever had. The flan I had for dessert was equally amazing. All in a lakeside venue with a great view of the volcanos.

We‘ve been to this restaurant because we needed to wait for the ferry for many hours. That‘s why eating here was a great decision! There are many vegetarian options and there’s a nice view. The food is great, it really is very yummy and delicious. Come here if you want to eat something really good!
The food here is delicious! The owner is Italian so order the pasta. The football was on the TV and the view of the water is beautiful. Grab a feed before the ferry.

Before taking the ferry to Ometepe, don't miss out on the delicios, mouth-watering Spaghetti Carbonara and the Aglio e Olio and the fantastic dessert and the coffee and...and... nAll served in a nice location right by the lake - last but not least the service is attentive, lovely and super nice! Went there twice, because we were so much looking forward to this great pasta on our return from the island.
They do Italian food, and they do it GOOD.nnThe pasta Alla arrabiata and Carbonara were the best we've had at home or abroad, and with a knockout view and two ice cold toñas, it was the best way to wait for the ferry.nnThe owner speaks impeccable english (and probably also lyrical, poetic Italian, but I couldn't check) and was able to give us good information on ferry timings, and gave us a reminder during our meal when the ferry was 15 minutes. He helped us get on a bus to Granada when we left the island two days later.

Amazing place, located just next to the port with nice view on ometepe island. But the best part is the food.. it was so delicous !nBest italian food since italy ! The caprese salad and pasta were so good (didn't ate such a good mozzarella since Europe). Fish was good too. 100% recommanded

We were just about to walk to the ferry when the waiter persuaded us to come to the restaurant under the pretext that you can't buy ferry tickets for another hour. When we walked to the ferry after the average meal, all the tickets were sold out and we had to wait 3 hours for the next ferry. Very annoying that the waiter spreads false information to attract tourists to his restaurant!

Tried this restaurant while waiting for the next ferry to Ometepe. The view is great and the carbonara pasta was delicious! Decently priced and they accept credit/debit card. Totally recommend for those wanting to grab a bite before the boat ride.
I would recommend this place to anyone passing through San Jorge. The food was absolutely delicious (I had the owners recommendation of spaghetti with salmon and olive oil), it came out quickly and the staff was nice! Not to mention a great location to have a beer while I waited for my food.

Maybe I ordered the wrong dish but the chicken fingers were some of the worst chicken I’ve ever ate. Was soooo dry and tough my jaw hurt from eating it. Tiny portion considering the price too. My friend had spaghetti and she said it was r nice.
Everything is delicious, the salmon, which is their specialty, we tried in carpaccio, in fillet, in stuffed potatoes, all delicious, as there were few people the service was very fast, very good service, the owner is Italian so his menu (apart from other dishes) is full of pasta options, all made to order. With a view of the lake and volcanoes
Al Dente is not a lounge singer, and the Italian fellow who owns this place knows it. Delicious sauces, vegan options. Located right outside of the port. Wonderful lakeside dining.
The Pasta isndelicious! And while waiting for the food, I watched the historic banknotes on the wall (from 170 different countries, according to the owner).

We needed to wait a few hours to get the ferry so we decided to grab a lunch and it was the best decision we could have made since it was the best pasta we had in Nicaragua. Next to this he has a few special beers (IPA) as well. The owner is an Italian and he is very friendly. He helped us out with the ferry as well.

Do you want to eat an excellent plate of pasta, made truly Italian?nThen stop at the El Navegante spaghetti shop which is located right at the entrance/exit of the port where you take the ferry! Darío the owner is an excellent host, writer, in love with volcanoes... that's why he stopped right here... he has two volcanoes behind his house every day! We stopped both on the way to and from the island... excellent dishes (I also ate the fish... delicious!)

We had two delicious pastas here after getting off the ferry. The owner was extremely welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we got the right bus to Rivas. A really lovely place to visit sitting on the deck in the sun overlooking the beach.
This is more than just a quick pasta while waiting for the ferry! Best spaghetti since visiting Rome, no kidding!
