The best food I ate in Nicaragua. Very tasty and in generous quantities. The family is also very friendly.

Really delicious place, we went twice first time jalapeño chicken and second chicken pasta both were excellent! The price is fantastic too! Would go back again if we had more days at the lake

Had the vegetarian plate here and it was great. Simple but still tasty and filling! We also had a pineapple juice and that was good too! 100% recommend visiting here, it's great value for money and it was a lot better than the vegetarían options that we had at our hotel.

Authentic nicaraguan food served by a friendly family. We had jalapeno chicken and tostones con queso. Great prices and it was quick and so yummy. we will be back. The chilero also was delicious. And we enjoyed the company of a very picky, sassy looking chicken :)
Nice traditional comedor and so far the only one I found in walking distance to the hostels and resorts.nFood is freshly cooked by the lovely family and to fair prices. They do offer a variety of meat as well as one veggi option.nDine in with music playing and a real local feeling with dogs and chicken running around and if you're lucky their son is gonna play some music for u.nIf you want you can take away as well. Don't forget to grab one of the fresh juices before you go! And remember cash only (count your money as maths is not their best skill).

Great family place to eat outside of the hotel/hostels on the lagoon. Right across from Paradiso so close to all the places. Food was great, quick, good prices. Not a million flies all over everything either which was nice for a change! Very clean.
It is a small and local place, in my opinion the best to eat! Typical, delicious food, large portions and very very good flavor. I highly recommend it!n(Plus: they also deliver to your home!)
Great local comedor with a good portion and good price. Food feels very fresh and was delicious. I recommend the grilled chicken dish (comes with rice, avocado, beans, fried plantain (tostones), cucumber and tomato) for 200C. Also the aguas frescos are delicious and very refreshing! Very quiet but the cheapest option around, definitely worth a visit.
Amazing traditional Nicaraguan food for a great price. The portions are huge and the food is so so good. Very affordable option if you are staying at hostel Paradiso across the road. We returned 2x! Make sure to try the mango drink
A nice local spot for a good and filling meal. We went here a couple times while staying at the hostel across the street; the prices are a lot better at this comedor than at the hostels in the area. In June 2024 we paid 200 cordobas for a meal with chicken, rice, beans, tostones, avocado and veggies. Simple but delicious food and very big portions so it was good value. The service was also very quick. Recommended for sure!

Delicious food and VEGAN friendly! Smoothies are very fresh and contain lots of fruits. 100% Watermelon and the mango smoothie is very fruity too. For vega(n)s I’d really recommend gallo pinto. For big eaters, I asked for a large portion and got a basket of extra rice for only 20 extra. Ps. Ask the owner to see the massive trees next door, those are super impressive! Enjoy
Everything was delicious. Very friendly staff. They accept dollars and cordobas. The beef, the gallopinto, the juice—everything was incredible. Fast service.
The best restaurant in the area, authentic atmosphere, not a fancy place, but the owners are very nice and serve excellent food, and I was just at Hostel Paradiso for a few days and came to eat there at least once a day.
As I stood in the restaurant, I thought to myself, nothing will happen here. I still ordered the fried chicken.nIt was really tasty and well made. You can eat well here. Try it out.

What a great place to enjoy simple and healthy food in an authentic setting. The menu is straight forward, the service is quick and the family speak good English. They have a little shop too. Even some clothing for sale. Very reasonable prices. We loved it here. 3 times in 3 days. Beats Paradiso hands down! V

Food made to order. They also offer some juice and fresh fruit. It's a good alternative if you want to escape from the huge portions at Paradiso, just crossing the street. They are also open later than el Paradiso

Food: had the jalapeno chicken and the steak plate, jeez the food here was delicious. Both served with rice, beans, tostones, and a bit of ensalada. It was really delicious! Price was about 180 Cordoba per plate.nnDrinks: ice cold Toñas at 45 córdobas.nnAtmosphere: nothing fancy, it's a house converted into a restaurant. But it's really as nice as they could afford to make it.nnOverall: No frills from this place. Just really great Nicaraguan home cooking at a fair price. Prob the best restaurant on the Laguna.

We had a very nice vegetarian meal here for lunch and would definitely recommend to stop at this place if you’re in the neighbourhood! The lady was very friendly and the fruit juice nice. Only thing was that the table was dirty and we cleaned it ourselves.
Good location, just outside “Paradiso hostel” tasty food, a little bit more expensive then other places as Granada….
